THIS 4TH OF JULY ENJOY ALL THE FESTIVITIES AND STILL LOSE WEIGHT!

     Hello, Dyan here (The Health Coach Is In) to let you in on my 6 TIPS to eat healthy and still lose weight... even over the 4th of July.

     You're probably thinking, "Are you serious? If I want to lose weight, I'll have to count calories, points or eat the low-fat options...."

"UGH!"

     In the past that may have been what you needed to do, but I am here to tell you "this year" can be different.

SO ARE YOU READY TO LEARN THE 6 TIPS?

HERE THEY ARE!

1) BRING A FEW OF YOUR OWN HEALTHY DISHES

to your festivities that you'd love to share and enjoy. Bring a few of your own healthy snacks that you love and adore, like all fruit popsicles, Greek yogurt pops, kale and bean chips, or try some of my yummy super-quick snack ideas, right here!

2) BRING YOUR FAVORITE HOMEMADE DRESSING

that you'd love to sprinkle on your salad, like one made with virgin olive oil, minced garlic, fresh basil, cilantro, pinch of sea salt and a squeeze of lemon or grapefruit.

3) DUMP THE CORN CHIPS,

potatoes, crackers and bread and save yourself for the really good 'stuff', like red sweet watermelon and tomatoes, purple grapes, grilled lean meats, poultry and seafood, dazzling colorful salads and a small slice of the dessert you find so yummy!

4) EAT SITTING DOWN!

 Whether you're at a party, picnic or BBQ find a comfy spot 'just right for you' and eat your meals sitting down. Be completely IN THE  MOMENT with your dining companions; ask questions, listen intently and focus on the conversations. This will help you take your mind off the rich, gooey foods sitting in front of you and prevent you from nibbling and grazing, the rest of the day, on foods you know you really don't want.

5) DON'T OVEREAT!

Don't be in such a rush to eat your meals. Chew your foods well and savor your bites. Just think of all the extra food that goes into that adorable you; simply because you don't allow your body the time to know when it no longer needs food..... Mix, mingle and chat and you'll eat a lot less.

6) OFFSET WHAT YOU EAT

with play, laughter and fun, like Frisbee, jump rope, horseshoes, volleyball, a hula-hoop contest, a bean bag toss, a water balloon fight or a walk and talk with family and friends.

THESE 6 LITTLE TIPS WILL MAKE HUGE STRIDES IN KEEPING YOU HEALTHY AND ON YOUR PATH TO LOSING WEIGHT!

MAKE THIS YEAR A WHOLE NEW WAY OF LOOKING AT THE HOLIDAY!
