MAKE ROOM FOR THE LAUGHTER AND FUN!

     If you're stuck in the midst of 'terminal seriousness,' it's time to find your way back to the land of plenty of laughter and fun!

     Usually when people wake up to the notions that fun is lacking in their life, "time" is to blame. So if this is the case for you, then it's important to recharge your battery and make room for some relaxing fun, and you can do this simply by starting with daily LAUGHTER!

     Laughter is the best cure for a bad mood. Even a very depressed person can increase happiness with a small amount of laughter.

     And laughter truly is the best medicine. A study out of the University of Maryland Medical Center, found that people who laughed more had better Patient Cure, Less Anesthesia Time, Less Operating Time and Shorter Hospital Stay.

     When we laugh the pressures of life fade away. We feel rejuvenated, restored and we release healing throughout our systems. Laughter reduces our blood pressure, boosts our immune system and increases our natural disease fighting killer cells (NK). 

     Every time we laugh we reduce our stress and increase our human growth hormone (HGH-the youth hormone) by 87%. 

     So you see, laughter is a natural health enhancer and a natural “chill pill” and believe it or not, laughter is a form of EXERCISE, too. 

     Vigorous laughter increases the heart rate, deepens breathing and engages muscles in the face, stomach and diaphragm. Have you ever laughed so hard it felt like you did a hundred sit-ups? I know I have.

THINK FOR A MINUTE: 

     When your life and your calendar are full of laughter and FUN, you are less likely to dip your paws in the cookie jar to soothe away bad feelings. 

     And your life doesn't have to be a party every weekend to make it fun. There's a reason Adult Coloring Books have exploded in popularity... they're FUN! 

     Listening to music is FUN, baking is FUN, splashing in puddles is FUN, flying off to amazing places is FUN, retreats are FUN, volunteering is FUN, dining out is FUN, a sport is FUN, running through sprinklers is FUN, exchanging stories is FUN, playing hooky from work is FUN. 

AND REMEMBER, FUN IS ACTUALLY ANYTHING YOU WANT IT TO BE...

     It's Alone time... Family time...Game time...Girl time...Guy time. Fun means finally stopping at that roadside stand or quirky little antique store you've driven by a thousand times. It's realizing you deserve to make time for YOU, instead of always choosing the more productive route.

EMBRACE SILLINESS, LAUGHTER AND JOY!

WHY?

BECAUSE NO ONE IS GOING TO GIVE THAT TO YOU.

Lighten up and see the humor in life. We need fun and laughter as much as we need sleep.

So don't let the PRESSURES OF LIFE and responsibilities steel your fun and laughter. TRAIN yourself to laugh and start feeling alive and renewed today.

     WHAT TO DO NOW

     Spend 1 hour (daily) having some good honest fun in your life. What makes you laugh? What gives you a happy hour? What would make you feel content, joyful and peaceful, right now?
