HEALTHY CHOCOLATE MOUSSE!

IT'S GLUTEN-FREE, SUGAR-FREE, DAIRY-FREE & ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!

Hello, Dyan here (The Health Coach Is In) to share with you a natural sugar that's getting a lot of buzz throughout the health conscious world.

AND IT'S CALLED...

LAKANTO

     Lakanto is a blend of the Monk Fruit extract (Lo Han Gou) that's grown on the mountain tops of Asia and the sweetener Erythritol, an alcohol sugar that's easily digested.

     Developed by the Japanese, it has a taste and a crystalline texture similar to turbinado cane sugar and can be used as a 1:1 ratio replacement for sugar recipes.

     Some of the studies on this natural sweetener have demonstrated effects as an anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial and seems to inhibit the over-growth of yeast, as well.

     Lakanto comes in white or golden brown colors and the brown has a caramel taste. It will not harden with age and can last a long time. You can sweeten your tea, yogurt, desserts, oatmeal or coffee with this zero calorie, zero glycemic sweetener.

     So I'd like to share with you a scrumptious recipe where you can use this sweet natural sugar called LAKANTO.....

HEALTHY CHOCOLATE MOUSSE

INGREDIENTS:

2 14oz cans almond or coconut milk

1c LAKANTO

1/2c agar flakes (for thickening)

1/2c unsweetened organic dark cocoa powder

2tsp vanilla extract (alcohol free)

1tsp ground cinnamon

1/4tsp sea salt

1T coconut oil

1c tart cherries

HOW TO MAKE

Combine 2 cans of almond or coconut milk, Lakanto, agar flakes, dark cocoa powder, vanilla extract, cinnamon and sea salt in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Pour the chocolate mixture into a 2-quart bowl and stir in the coconut oil.

Let cool at room temperature, then pour into (8oz) individual glasses, if you’d like. Refrigerate until set.

 Garnish with tart cherries or sprinkle with crumbled walnuts.

Makes about 4 servings
