Good afternoon, Dyan here (The Health Coach Is In) with some great news to tell you that just moving your body throughout your beautiful day can also help, a lot, with balancing your stress, your moods and up and down weight!
You could call it Vitamin M, but when I talk about MOVEMENT I'm talking about something that's different than exercise.
Activities, like dancing, gardening, playing with your kids or grandkids, tennis, golf, swimming, biking, hiking, stretching, yoga, tai chi, housework, yard work, chopping wood, fencing, basketball, baseball, soccer, stair climbing, skiing, carrying children, bowling, archery, skating, horseback riding or just meandering around your neighborhood..... are all movement.
And when you move your body in a way that you enjoy, it makes your heart beat a little faster and you breathe a little harder and your muscles get stronger, your moods get mellow, your emotions get tamed and you begin releasing weight.
So start moving your body every day to release tension, release weight and feel revitalized and restored. Even if you don't feel up to a workout, consider any way of moving that you'll find pleasurable.
ASK YOURSELF; WHAT MOVEMENT WOULD BE FUN TO DO TODAY?
You may want to garden, golf, dance or take a quiet walk through the park.
So get out and move your legs and move your arms and have an amazing time doing it!
