THEN FOLLOW THE DESTRUCTIVE PATH OF A QUICKIE FAD DIET:
You start a quick weight-loss plan, a cleanse challenge or some other form of a very restrictive eating program.
You start to ignore hunger cues. You drink water, eat a pickle or find other ways to "fill up" without adding calories.
You feel stressed about your weight and you start feeling frustrated and hopeless. You begin thinking about food more often: "When do I get to eat again? What CAN I eat? What CAN'T I eat?”
You produce cortisol (the stress hormone) and insulin as the body enters a "food scarcity" mode, signaling the body to store fat and slow metabolism.
You produce more of the 'Ghrelin' hormone to step-up your hunger signals so you will eat.
You get "hangry" (hungry & angry) and start to give in and eat richer foods, higher in fats, sugar and calories and you overeat in response to denying yourself the nourishment your body needed.
You feel guilty for overeating. You feel disappointed and blame yourself. You continue feeling stressed.
As your stress continues so does your overeating and a sense of desperation to start another quickie diet , which sets the stage for more off-and-on weight gain all over again!
Hopefully by now you're giving a middle finger to the quick fad diets that have unrealistic lifestyle plans.
If your body is meant to weigh-less it shouldn't require drugs, extreme workouts, supplements, detoxing or intense self-monitoring to get you there.
Most fast & quick diets are nothing but smoke and mirrors, creating problems for your mind and body and some are down right Ridiculous and even Dangerous.
Ever hear of the "Air Diet?" Just hold your fork to your mouth and pretend you're eating. Or how about having a device "surgically inserted" in your stomach so you can drain the food you just ate directly into the toilet.
