Well, I don't want you to stop there. Here's another mindful way to de-stress and add to the peace and calmness of your life, and you can do this at any time of the day!

6 SIMPLE STEPS TO MINDFUL WALKING
Mindful walking is one of the most powerful practices of mindfulness and it may just be what the doctor would order!
SO LET'S START WALKING, (MINDFULLY).
Set down your cell phone and go find a perfect path.
Start walking normally and don’t change your walking style.
Notice the TOUCH of your feet to the earth and how your heel makes contact with the ground and then rolls over to the ball of your foot before it goes up in the air. Feel the sensation in your ankles as your feet move up and down. Feel the sensations in your toes as they press against one another.
Feel the fabric of your socks inside your shoes. Notice all the other feelings that you might have on your knees, calves, shins and hips.
Enjoy the quietude of nature. Notice the bridge you just past. Was there a stream of rocks underneath it? Are there puddles left behind from a heavy rain? What birds, squirrels, grass and trees do you SEE? Do you HEAR cars passing by? SMELL the crispness of the air as you take the deepest breath you’ve ever taken, clearing out all your emotional clutter.
Then make a list (in your head) of all the good things that happened today. Or the day before if you walk in the morning.
Be aware of all the BEAUTY that surrounds you, the sky, the clouds, the hills, the flowers, the cracked tree trunks, the acorns, the scattered twigs and sticks and the path you walk on. Hear the sound of your own footsteps. Feel the breeze on your skin and the warmth of the sun on your back. Is there a wind tousling your hair?
Feel your legs growing longer and stronger as you walk and take your strides. Be conscious of your body’s alignment and balance and don’t get caught up in anything that may be passing you by.
When you’ve had just enough stop gradually at your doorstep. Observe any feelings or emotions that may have come up during your walk. Don’t judge or analyze them, just listen to what you are feeling and encountering.
Practicing mindful walking can have a profound spiritual, mental and physical effect on your whole body!
